I was redirected to these forums by digital photographers who wanted hosting services.I believe by viewing these forums I will finally be able to select a good hosting site and I thank the people of these forum for that. My brain was hurting pretty severely after I did research on my own for 2 days. I was wondering if there was a site the posters here might know of to help a person understand how to build their own.I have taken courses in Frontpage and have built a couple of personel sites but know want to build a photo business site where customers can buy photos on line. I don't understand how to make it easy to upload and remove photos, i would be doing this one a weekly basis and I do not understand shopping carts and online payment. I am not really sure just how hard this site would be to build. I mean is it out of my league. Any help on finding some help would be appreciated. Thanks. Maybe I need a consultant does anyone know of someone who consults at a reasonable price.

I work for a digital sports photographer when he needs me, and this is what we do:

My boss purchased a domain name for his business, I hosted it on my server and redirected to his site at PhotoReflect (you've probably heard of the express digital software they make).

They provide a small program that transfers all his pictures that he takes at events to his website under a specific event name. Then, his clients can go to the website, see a low quality, watermarked sample of the image they want to purchase, and buy it.

Check out the site here: http://www.photoreflect.com/

Hah, photoreflect.

That catcher looks like a stud. ;)

The pictures are way to hard to take. I don't like munging through the source to find the picture so I can take it, but I guess you've gotta do what ya gotta do to get pictures of yourself.

Oh yeah, don't they have to have some sort of release before they can put your pictures online? When I was stealing the pictures of me last year, I noticed they never got anyone's permissions to put pictures of them on the internet. That's kinda "ify" if you ask me.
