Personally, I would recommend HTTPME.COM mainly because he deserves it and also that he is not on the list and should be! ;) :stickout

We're on a very special list, all by ourselves. :buck: :D

the best reseller accounts they are are from http://www.hostmatters.com

We started there years ago and grew a business that ended up on our own servers. I don't think there's a better recommendation that that for the success they offer a reseller.

Every host has good parts and bad parts. I am looking for a host offering SSH. HTTPME is not doing that. I am sure you can get a good service from HTTPME (and other hosts).
Do your own thinking. Make a list of what is offering each potential host and choose what is better for you.

Exactly. Most will deliver good service and value for money but each host has its own little differences that folks might need etc. :)

Mmm...

I would add Kualo.Com to the list...

Their support has been number 1...

Exactly! I cant agree more with this. There will always be people praising a service and also people condemning it.

If you ask someone with ResellerA which is the best provider, 9/10 they will say, ResellerA. There will only be a small handfull of people who have been with more than 3 reseller providers, as usually a reseller account is a stepping stone to a dedicated server.

Im not having a rant or anything here.. just you have to remember that alot of people have only had experience with one company - and your experience with them may not be what you expect. Do very detailed research, as people from each reseller provider, ask their customers and also ask THEM. Test the responce times, send a few test emails to them see the sort of reply you get, it may be quick but does it answer your question?

You don't want to be on a server with another 1000 accounts, see if they have a user:server ratio, things like this..

Just do good research :)

Mind you.. we have all been a victim of not doing good research :)

take it easy ;)

Well in no specific order, I'd recommend MCHost, SplashHost and Voxtreme, however I'm with Ventures Online so I'll add them as well.

Always a good idea to visit your potential hosts' forums to see what's going on locally.

Lats...
Most hosts will hide away their client areas so the general public doesn't see the innner workings of their business. They prefer them to only see the window dressing and marketing gloss/spin.

And of course, the better ones don't :)

Lats...
I wasn't saying that. :) I was just saying folks would have a hard time in getting a true indication of their forums, if they can only see the sales section etc...

I consider the prime criteria in selecting a Host is SUPPORT. If you cannot supply fprompt answers when required it doesn't matter how much webspace or bandwidth you have because you won't have the clients to use either;)

I would recommend SplashHost and PriorityColocation.
Alan and Myles will help you everytime you have a question.

Their prices are good, too.

i reccomand hostdiscount.net cause you pay only what you really need and they are really cheap...
Or freeporter.com they has reseller accounts from 3.2GB webspace and 25GB bandwidth but has higher monthly cost
both with CPanel
they are the same company.

RocketHost is an excellent hosting company for individuals but not for resellers.

Afterall, their servers are located on VDI datacenter, the worse you could get in United States! Yesterday the whole datacenter was down for more than 6 hours! They are claiming backup lines but none saw them...

i'm currently running 3 sites for my customers... i'm i want to host it for them as well, so i need a reseller plan that can do this well..... my critirial is it must be transparent to my customers, and they must have their own login and their own control panel....it makes them feel like each of them are in their own account...

can recommend some??

thanks

Yep. :)
my critirial is it must be transparent to my customers,
They can still trace back your source. There is no such thing as 100% anonymous reselling.
and they must have their own login and their own control panel....it makes them feel like each of them are in their own account...
WHM/Cpanel will do this. You setup the domains in your WHM and your clients use their Cpanel to administer their site etc...
can recommend some??
Check out - resellershosting.net, voxtreme.com, splashhost.com, mchost.com and there are others that hang out around these parts too.

Hi Kualo.Com is not a propper reseller, as they do not allow for unlimited (multiple) domain on their accounts. They only deal with sub-domains!

KualoJo
07-29-2002, 06:32 AM
Not so. We offer full multiple domains with their own cpanel etc. which you would create through WebHost Manager, they are not subdomains. :)

You have no idea what you are talking about, normally i would not post about a person who has no clue, but here goes.

there are parts of the network that is considered unlikly to fail, network is redundant, there are 2 loops, and mulitihomes connection. The unit that failed was something that was considered "not to worry" the only option was to have a standby duplicate unit, which is a $60,000.00 unit, we will make the investment now.

Your comments are considered rude, and uneducated.
