Hello All

My name is Lonny Potecho, and I am the CEO of the FindSP.com Network [http://www.findsp.com].

First of all, I would like to tell the moderators of this forum that I'm sorry if I'm posting this message in the wrong section, but since this is my first post, please be gentle...

Now.. My team and I just opened the first channel our network - a web hosting channel: http://www.findsp.com/Hosting

as you can see we have a few advertising opportunities there, but as I browsed through the numerous number of web hosting directories, I noticed a lot of different media kits, and CPM or Flat rates.

So, I would like to ask this Hosting Community to help us out a bit, to determine the rates on our site, please note that not all of our sections are up yet, and we began to receive many advertising requests.

We are about to add many features this week, such as a search engine, a few dirctory types, Facility tour feature and much much more.

So, I'm looking forward to hear what you have to say, and also to hear your comments about our site.

I hope you wont consider this as SPAM because we don't own a hosting company, nor offer such services.

Thank you very much

Looking forward to hear from you

Polls are supposed to be done in the adverts section as far as I know!

Lonny,

The site worked fine as far as I saw. You might want to add an 'edit' function to the hosting plan area. Currently it appears the only way to edit a plan once it's up is to remove it, then add it again.

$200 a month seems a little steep For advertising on an untested site but if you are getting it then more power to you. :) I feel it may be a case of every other site such as this out there. The big hosts with poor support get all the hits due to their ad budgets - not the quality of their service. That's a lengthy topic of discussion on this board at times and one that's not going away in the near future I'm afraid.

Best Regards,
Greg Moore

Well, your traffic is going to be slow to start off with. That's always a downside, I would figure 1-6 months until your placed in a search engines and after that about 1 year in working your way up in them. I'm not sure how well you could charge vs. the already in place services like you offer. So given that run a year at a special rate, say 1/2 of what the competition is running then go under what your competition charges by 1/4.You can always have specials and other deals if they decided to lower the prices. I hope this is what you are looking for Lonny. My conversation with you on Human Click was rather nice, and you seemed very quick to respond to a error I made and offered to correct it.

Well, for some reasons our traffic is building like we didn't expect it would, we also going out with a few major campaigns, so you shouldn't worry about being a new site and all, we have a very good marketing plan with a very experienced staff working on it.

Thanks :)
