It's funny the trust we put in our leaders.

I think they did the right thing. Duck and cover or don't, either way if you're anywhere within sight of a nuclear bomb it won't make too much a difference. The important thing is that we don't panic about the thought of being hit by a nuclear device, if our society crumbles from fear we lose to the communists or whatever flavour-of-the-month bad guy is out there.
