View Full Version : Priority Colocation is down?

Hi all,

I have been searching for a place to host a dozen or so low-bandwidth sites with my brother, and we had chosen http://prioritycolocation.com to sign up with, due to their very competitive reseller-1 account and the good reviews I read on WHT. However, as I go to sign up I find that their web-site is now down (I've tried for about an hour). (?) Their nameservers appear to also be down (ns1,ns2). I am hoping this is just a fluke, but does anyone want to offer any additional assurances or cautions (i.e. not already on WHT) based on your experiences? I believe their current uplink is Cogent-based - are any other Cogent sites having difficulty? I suppose it is also possible that they have scheduled maintenance - (I obviously can't check their website's bulletins right now, though!) I am assuming that they host their website on their own servers, though I suppose they may not. (?)

Thanks for any informative input you can provide,

-Mark

This is a planned downtime, which started around 1:30 am. Basically the company we partner with outgrew their space and is in the process of moving their equipment to a new floor. Everything should be back to normal before morning breaks.

Thank you for your prompt response, Myles. Perhaps this post will cut down on your E-mail queries about the downtime. =) I will recommend to my brother to sign up tomorrow.

Shouldn't have many,

We sent out email to every active customer, and had it posted on our forums for most of the week prior to that. Only backlash was the "are we there yet? are we there yet? are we there yet!?" which was driving me nuts, but im going back to sleep now (stayed up till 8 am to make sure it all finished smooth, man, no sleep for the wicked :().
