Hi,
I'm a webmaster of a fairly new hosting site. I was wondering how everyone would rank the following as regards to how important they are.
a. Price
b. Support
c. Features
d. Reliability
Thanks,

Crap.....I just answered this in a poll somewhere, but I can't find it....and I don't remember the results!
Anyway, I'd vote: b d a c
Thats pretty hard to answer, though. All are very important for people to look at when choosing a hosting provider. My answers are coming from the web hosting side of me. I need the support and reliability to be able to keep people happy, but I also need to have it reasonably priced and with good features.
You'll probably get different results from customers.

We have a poll on our site that is not quite exactly the same - but similar.
142 votes
Price - 56%
Size of Company - 11%
Reputation - 21%
Advertising - 10%
slightly off-topic - but a while back a large directory in a thread defending a "Platinum List" were making the case of how they were doing the market a big favor by listing only large companies in their Top25 list (big companies that could afford big advertising $) - Funny - based off the above, these 2 are the least important to people.
I will start a poll on Reliability, Price, Support, Features and report back with some results in a while

I'd have to go B D A C.
I'm an ameteur, so support is obviously key for me and features are not very important. Reliability is important to me in everything in life, so that's why I'd rate that as key as well.

Depends on the clientele you're looking for:
Cheap-cheap: aacb
New guys: acbd
Want the world for 10 bucks: addb
And finally, web-aware clients: bdca
You'll find in the long run the web-aware people will make the best clients. Unfortunately most of these guys are either happy with their existing host (after many unhappy experiences) or unwilling to try the new guys. Prove yourself with some good B, offer the occasional special for A, help out the new guys, and you're all set.

a. Price =25%
b. Support =200%
c. Features =50%
d. Reliability=100%
Then no BS and be honest! No waiting days for support. Give your support as fast as you take my money!
If you are having problems do make me guess what is wrong.
Bear in mine that serving the public is not 8 to 5 5 days a week.
