Hi my fellow victims!

I'm shortly moviing from Aletia, finally :D, and I have some questions about domain name transfer:

- How does that work, or rather, how did you do it?
- Can I just transfer my domain to, let's say, GoDaddy without any problems, or do I have to contact Aletia myself?
- Did you have a "free" domain that you transfered?
- And if so, how did that work when you canceled the account?

Many questions for you guys :D Hope you can help me!

Thanks,
Thomas

Poor aletia, everyone is leaving them..

I wonder what happened...

I think that they suddenly got too many users, and couldn't keep up with the growth. But that's just my wild qualified guess. ;)

That's what happened. And we've all seen it happen to many other companies.

I am also another one leaving soon.

CrimsonScy,

How does that work, or rather, how did you do it?
I xfered it to a (registar name has been banned here). com and hoping it goes through fine. They have a place you enter in your domain name, pay $7.95,(which included another year of registeration) and it will sent an email to the address I have listed. I need to respond to the email and it should xfer.

- Can I just transfer my domain to, let's say, GoDaddy without any problems, or do I have to contact Aletia myself?
I did not and will not contact Aletia, it should work fine through GoDaddy.
Did you have a "free" domain that you transfered?
I am xferring my free domain now.

This is how I am doing it now and hopefully it will work.
