I'm in search of a chat room software which will allow for user registration, room creation, private messaging, IP logging, etc.

I'm wondering what solutions WHT users may have used in the past, and what success you have had with them.

In the past I've both hosted chat and also used outside services to host the chat. Actually, I'd recommend outsourcing. You can integrate it with your site so that the user doesn't know that the chat is taking place on another server, plus you don't use your own resources up.

Take a look at http://www.addonchat.com/ (their paid programs, not the freebie).

After reading your hosting company's TOS (if applicable) of course.

My company's TOS? Where did you find it at? I don't remember putting one together yet

John, when someone wants to install IRC they simply need to check the TOS of their host to see if it is allowed, that's all. :)

Oh, you had me stumped there for a little while :)
