I am curious.
We have all seen people with cool subs like myname.iscool.com right? (the "iscool.com" domain is only used for an example)

In the above example, it is a free redirection service, (as I assume most are) but with banners, and they don't include hosting. There is a one time fee of $19 for to remove the banners.

Is there any real subdomain hosting (not redirection) like that?

I mean if I had a domain like that, I wouldn't let just anyone tie up a sub of it for free. Probably the banners are hideous enough to make them pay. :D

Also what about those "sux.com" ones? Can't sux.com get in trouble with "somehost" if somebody buys for instance, "somehost.sux.com"

I think there is precedent judgements about hostsucks.com type sites and the same would apply.

This place offers
a) subdomain WHATEVER.netfirms.com
which includes hosting. Not for redirect
(although you can if you want) but it's a
free subdomain you can build a site on.

or

b) if you currently have a domain name you can get
free website hosting w/out using the .netfirm tag line.
* they do require a small banner on your pages.

both options are free.

I meant like myname.iscute.com or if I get mad at someone, theirname.blows.com hosting.
myname.netfirms.com just doesn't sound cool.

btw, I have installed software on netfirms for people and it is a real pain. I even hear many accounts are closed for no appearent reason, even paid ones.
