We are considering moving to a new server (reseller).
We currently have 4 Ip #'s we would like to transfer .
The reason I ask is that the new account charges $20.00 to setup ea. new Ip# they assign, +I would have to do some modifications to a few sites (Ie... the enom API's.)
Does anybody know if it is possible to transfer these Ip's to a new server or are we out of luck?
If we can't transfer the IP's does anybody know if, we can transfer security certificates from the old ip's to the new Ip's?

It's doubtful you'll be able to take your IP addresses with you.
You should be able to get your Secure Certificate "Re-Issued" for little or no money. Just contact the entity that issued it to you. ie.. Thawte or Verisign

Are you transfering from one server to another with the same host?
If the IPs are on the same network (same host), and assuming your host has control over both servers, they should be able to re-bind the IP to the new server from the old server. Of course, this is not something customarily done, so you may have to ask nicely or pay a small fee.
This also assumes that you had four dedicated IPs before (ie. they were not shared with name-based hosting).
If this is a new network (new host), then there is no way and you will have to change IPs.

Hi Peter,
Are you transfering from one server to another with the same host?
We have 2 dediated Ip's with one host and 2 Dedicated Ip's with a second host. One of the above mentioned host's has eternal e-mail problems and a five day trouble ticket response time. The second uses c-panel where we prefer plesk and is a bit pricey.
In conclusion we are considering moving all our sites / our clients accounts to Dixiesys reseller plan they have a pretty good july deal going on and they seem to have happy clients.
by the way did you fill up your VDS?

You won't be able to move the IPs, since they are on different network (not to mention having to deal with three hosts).
Good luck in your search for hosting.
(I have sent you a PM on what's going on with me)

There's no need to get the certificates reissued. Certificates are not tied to IP-addresses, only to host names.
Simply copy over the certificate and the key, and it should work.
