i installed cpanel. i guess all went good but it didnt ask for me to enter the WHM admin userid or a password. Is there like a first time user default login like admin/admin (which doesnt work).

www.cpanel.net - that is the only place to start, but there are many more to go to.

When you go to WHM for the first time, the username and password is simple "root" for username and your root password for the password. It'll always be that, so when you change the root password, the WHM password changes with it.
