Thanks, Peter; but I've been there and done that, and under H Sphere features it list a few of them, then it says that H Sphere has more features than they can list. That is laughable.

I was just hoping someone would help out and put a yes or no beside the features I listed. It'd be a much simpler reference for me and others who might be interested. I would do it myself, but I don't have an H Sphere acct to look at now, and everything doesn't work on the H Sphere demo.

Well, the demo was working for me, but that was 6 months ago. And maybe they do have more features than they can list; from what I have heard, it does sound that way.

I know some of the questions you will just have to look in the definitive features reference or work with a live demo, but the link should at least help with simple questions. (e.g. being a control panel it must have Unix quota support, etc....)

Thanks, Peter. What I was saying was that they say they cannot list all of the features, yet CPanel does, and I don't think they have as many features as cPanel. Even if they do, the list is not infinite. I'm sure they could list them all in a 5K file.

I wont sit and mark eask one, but I would say about 90% would be a yes. The others can easily be done from the shell.

In regards to cpanel, there is no comparison. They are on 2 completely different levels (cpanel being on the lower of the 2 levels :D )

Thats arguable but let us get into no arguement...

You could argue it all day, but let's just say that a decentralised system like CPanel that uses flat files will not scale as well as a system that handles mangement from a centralised database system.

Why is that? Please explain.

I think he means cpanel uses flat-text files to store information, while h-sphere uses a database to do such things.

As with the comparison of bulletin borad software that use flat-text to database, the database version would be more scalable (ie. can handle large amount of users without slow down).

Thanks Peter for explaining that.
