I've spent much of the day searching for a "blog" related domain name. I am so frustrated after so many hours of searching to find nothing I like that's available. I'm assuming this is because blogs are so popular, any ideas?

You can try domain name generator tools like nameboy.com.

Try thinking out of the box. What's the name of that big online bookseller? It's not onlinebooks, but Amazon. What's the name of that big online portal? It's not onlineportal, but Yahoo.

You get the idea. Name your site something out of the ordinary, and it will also be more memorable to users.

Exactly! Once a brand is established for a name, people don't care how odd the name itself is.

The name of the domain should be easily remembered, typed and pronounced, other than that it doesn't matter what it is.
Brand names are more memorable than keyword names though, and gives your website some more personality in my opinion.
