View Full Version : Hello! ...and some questions...
Brian S 07-19-2002, 11:01 PM Hi Folks,
First, let me say, "hi" to everyone. I've been lurking for the past month or so, getting a feel for the atmosphere at WHT. It seems...interesting. There's a fair amount immature bickering from some who seem to wish they were more important than they really are. But I also appreciate the useful insight from the more established players. Me? I'm and easy-going fellow. :)
Anyway, to the point...

SoftWareRevue 07-19-2002, 11:21 PM Brian,
Welcome to WHT. If you have been here a month, I would hope that you found time to read the Rules (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?s=&action=forum-rules). And, as you say, "getting a feel for the atmosphere," I would hope that would include noticing where threads are posted.
It's pretty hard to comment on your site (I haven't clicked the link). However, had it been placed in the Website Reviews (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=10) Forum, I am confident that you would receive helpful insight from forum members.
Brian S 07-20-2002, 05:33 AM Thanks for the suggestion. Part of my prompt for review and the babble above it was also a query for the importance of site design. But that didn't come across so well in my post (or at all upon a re-read). So I'll edit out and move. Simple enough. :)
Thanks,
Brian
DotComster 07-20-2002, 05:15 PM Hi Brian
I can offer you one peice of advise - don't mind the bickering, you really do get good replies here when you learn to ignore the rants and don't let them distract you.
andiegirl 07-20-2002, 11:13 PM Hi Brian! :wavey:
I'm pretty new too.
The atmosphere is interesting, indeed.
The problem is that I have a hard time not to take things personal when people pick on me. :look: But most people seem to be nice around here. :)

Well, welcome :)
I lurked here for about 12 months before deciding to register in June this year, I find many of the posts quite valuable and interesting.
I don't take any notice of the bickering :)

Not here. Not at WHT.
They may try to enlighten, educate, and engage in stimulating conversation. But, I don't think they would ever just pick on somebody.
By the way . . . . . . . . You have some corn in your teeth. :stickout
