Are you talking about during the 3 for 1 special initial period or for a normal monthly price? The EPS 1435 is $83/mo for the first three months and if you order that I can adjust the price to $199/mo beginning in the 4th month.

If you are looking for a monthly price of about $70/mo, then let me suggest that you start out with our Conroe 860 server and we can see if something in the normal price range of $70 becomes available in three months. We recently took over the resources of another DC and some of that older hardware may become avialble that we could move you to at the end of this special.

All of our servers are connected to our core network through 100 Mbps ports but if you wanted to share that you would need find someone to do that with you and I am not sure why they might want to due to amount of resources you want to use vs what you want to pay.

As to 100 Mbps Unmetered, while we certainly have customers currently using those levels of resources I don't think that you are being realistic as you are talking about thousands of dollars in resources.

As to the control panels those are licensed products and those licensed fees need to be paid. Depending on what you are doing Interworx really is a good CP from what our support has told us and would save you $10 a month over the price of Cpanel/WHM.

As to sites that we don't allow, hmm so long as they are legal we don't discriminate, no kiddie stuff of course, we allow mail but we will screen your process before authorizing it, and we even have some proxy sites up but again they have to be legal and not inflamatory.

We LOVE the Adult industry but we also have strong relationships with some very strong mainstream clients, especially in the streaming and entertainment industries.

If anyone has any questions I am available as much as I can be, family is important to me, so they get some of my time too. I have many ways to be contacted and if you have a private question please feel free to use which ever you feel comfortable with. They may also be responded to a bit quicker than board posts, just because of the system updates I receive.

As to the ETA, no I am sorry to say I don't know when that might be available but I do know that we can usually turn those around pretty quickly for you, depending upon the OS (not all OS's have the drivers with them for Dell servers, which can really slow down the installation process).

I just thought that if you were to select the KVM over IP option and maintain an OS disc in the CD ROM drive, that these might actually be easy if you were familiar with the setup process.

First of all please don't be mad. Have you experienced any issues due to the Cogent addition to our bandwidth mix (please note the interesting information below)? If so and you have any trace route data that you could send into support (or me) it would be immensely helpful for us as we are currently evaluating Cogent.

While we currently have an excess of 20 Gbps of available combined-bandwidth from our upstream providers, we have only turned on 300 mbps of Cogent for test purposes. The Cogent transfer is currently being tested in a traffic shaped connection, so that only packets that should travel faster via Cogent route that way (for example onnet Cogent and international sites connected to opentransit).

We are not forcing traffic onto Cogent, it is simply being evaluated for addition into our bandwidth mix along with our other current upstream providers Level 3, Telcove, TimeWarner, Savvis, Global Crossings, etc... Caro.Net Hosting has one of the most premium, non-internap bandwidth mixes available on the market, which along with our peering, gives us some of the fastest transit speeds available.

The bottom line Hosteur is that you should already know from having dealt with us, is that while we have the resources of the larger hosts, we also attempt to maintain a personal rapport with our clients. If you have an issue you have only to advise me of it and know that I will investigate it for you.

1) IP requirement problem, have fill form, etc... What the problem for you to give client extra IP?
2) You turn my box now on CONGENT, etc... If you have to do test or something like you mentionned, ask customer before if they agree...

Please, you have good price and good hardware, so why should you borrow customers about this... !?!...

Sigh, I miss you already. I would still be very interested in knowing where you felt we did not deliver for you. I think that you were pleased with our responsiveness and with the servers themselves, so did you see and issue with the BW that I am not aware of? While I know that you don't care for Cogent, it represents less than 5% of our networks traffic and so far everyone else has been pleased.

In regards to the IPs, I know that you would have liked to have seen improvements there but I also hope that you understand that we are just following the ARIN guidelines, that all hosts are suppose to be adhereing to.

I hate loosing any clients and if the areas where you would like to see improvements change in the future I would certainly like to contact you and renew our relationship.

In my humble opinion I would consider our support to be semi-managed (sorry but I am old school). With most cases you simply submit a request and we are happy to perform the work for you. It seems that to most people now days our support meets their expectations of managed.

Personally I consider managed support to be when a Systems Administrator is actually logging onto a customers server to check on its performance, perform updates and optimization. This level of support doesn't come cheap as System Administrators who know what they are doing are paid handsomly.

Caro.Net can offer this level of involvement in the operation of our clients servers but it is normally established on a case-by-case basis and usually after a Senior level administrator has reviewed the servers operation along with the scripts and applications for which we would be accepting responsibility for.
