What are you looking to use the host for? mehdi_hbk 07-02-2007, 05:39 PM hostgator.com best hosting with Cheap price masi2002 07-02-2007, 06:08 PM Regardless of cost, DiscountASP.NET is the best ASP.NET and MS SQl web host out there. DiscountASP.NET is innovative by being the first or one of the first Hosts to offer new features. I find CrystalTech to be too large for my tastes. gate2vn 07-03-2007, 03:16 AM Some vendors I have worked with - Handynetworks - Cartikahosting They're both really good. You cant go wrong with any. Make a search on board about them and see yourself :) AllenB 07-03-2007, 07:38 AM Hello, I've not used them personally, but I've heard good things re cartikahosting.com and jodohost.com. Hope this helps and good luck w/ your search! appliedi 07-04-2007, 01:14 PM Elberk, best for what? Best varies you need to be a little more specific. Every host regardless of platform has their advantages and disadvantages. Shared? Dedicated? ASP.NET? PHP? ColdFusion? Jess anjanesh 07-18-2007, 03:37 AM WebStrikeSolutions.com has a good rep and very good tech support + knowledge. r2h 07-19-2007, 03:29 AM Whats ir ur requirement? I means, webspace, SQL etc? BitFlowHosting 07-19-2007, 08:26 PM hey guys, i need to know the best windows servers providers regardless the cost.. thanks Hi Elberk80, Specifically what type of hosting (VPS? Dedicated? Shared?) and features (ASP.NET, SQL Server, .NET, etc) are you looking for? I'm sure all providers have their strengths and weaknesses and its a matter of finding one that suits what you're looking for. Will-AH 07-21-2007, 09:26 AM As many other hosting companies have stated, there is no "best" hosting company, it all depends on what you're looking for. There are a lot of hosting companies out there, but only a hand full of us provide our customer's the support that would be expected from a hosting company. When comparing Microsoft hosts in a shared environment, one of the biggest things you need to know that is almost never made public is whether or not your site is in its own dedicated application pool or a shared application pool. If it's in its own dedicated pool, your site will end up having much less downtime than a site with a shared application pool. Also, see how much RAM and CPU is allocated to the application pool that your site would be hosted on, as many hosting companies limit this severely in order to fit more accounts per machine. In addition, you should also take into account whether the host is operating their own data center or using space in another data center. A company with their own fully staffed data center is generally going to be able to resolve hardware issues faster than companies that have to go through a different non-accountable staff members from another company to hit a button on a server or swap out a drive. Good luck in your search! jayaic 07-23-2007, 05:43 PM This is a pretty general question since you haven't really specified exactly what someone is the best at, so I'm guessing your looking for a pretty general answer. For your basic shared hosting, I'm going to say DiscountASP.NET. Used a few of the windows hosts on the marketing, large and small, and just found the over all performance and response time better. Plus I don't think you can miss some of their banners running with the asp.netPRO and Visual Studio magazine awards the recently won. They seem to be pretty proud of those. Dedicated, MaximumASP really. Just all round good reliability when I've used them. Haven't really heard of a VPS done real well so I would be curious to see what people might say about that. eghservers 07-23-2007, 10:54 PM you might want to check out lunarpages.com Seb007 07-24-2007, 08:07 AM Elberk80, You didnt specify whether you were looking at Dedicated servers, Virtual servers or Shared server. There are some free shared windows hosting available. Have a Google. hekwu 07-29-2007, 10:53 AM http://fluidhosting.com is a great windows provider. I've been with them for years. I would not recommend a free provider... Elberk80 11-04-2007, 12:46 PM well guys .. thank you all for your contrebutions and replies .. i was really general in my question .. i was looking around with URLs that you provided .. and it was all right .. i was looking for all three VPS shared and dedicated .. YES the VPS providers kinda like ecouriging me to get a server .. the shared i tried almost each one of them i was buying shared to test them out .. found that discountASP.net has a very stupid way to upload you SQL DB .. rest are kinda vough .. as for dedicated i was going to a get a month for testing from some companies, instead im reading posts about them here some of them are mentioned for the first time ever and some have 50/50 replies only crystaltech is ringing a bell right now .. i spent alot of money research im will to spend some more to good a provider i thought posting a thread here would make it easier it only made it harder .. what im looking for a relieable windows server from a well-knowned provider .. it seems i took a wrong turn checking their their shared ones .. i was thinking if they were good enough as shared provider it couldn't go wrong with the dedicated .. but i learned here its not neccessarly true i know i was off for a while (researching) thank you every one for the posts saimmalik 11-04-2007, 02:25 PM If you are talking about dedicated server providers then go for softlayer.com they are the best with 0 % downtime. Softsys Hosting 11-11-2007, 05:03 AM There are lots of them available and people here will be able to help you in selecting a host but you will need to specify your budget, disk space/bandwidth requirements.. All the best! stewpot007 11-11-2007, 07:01 AM Hi, I use resellerzoom, they have some great windows reseller plans, starting at $22 per month Stew |
