hello :)

could somebody please help me? whenever a script on my server (perl, php and others) sends an email it contains the following inside the header:

Received: from unknown (HELO localhost.localdomain) (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
by 0 with SMTP; 19 Jul 2002 17:19:11 -0000
Received: (from apache@localhost)

this causes some problmes, f.eg. emails do not reach destination because of:

Remote host said: 553 localhost.localdomain does not exist

Could somebody tell me please where I have to fix my qmail+vpopmail installation?

thanks a lot!
chris

you can change that value in /var/qmail/control/ files , I think lifewithqmail.org can explain a bit more about each files in there. However those files are really confusing in my real life so make it simple.

From what I remember about qmail /var/qmail/control/me is probably missing, that file should have the server hostname in it.
