Hiya everyone,
I'm just interested in everyone's experience with Reseller accounts, and who you all would reccommend to me as a decent, cheap, and reliable company to host a reseller accoutn with?

My budget is $20 and below, but I may be willing to go a bit higher if the service offered is good. Plus, a high bandwidth factor would be essential.

So, any suggestions?

My suggestion is that you search and look through this reseller forum. There have been many conversations (like this one) in the past where reseller accounts are compared.

There are a lot of good reseller providers around here that offer good service. Look for one that offers the features and support that you will need and go for it. :)

Good luck!

If you're looking for a reseller account for $20/mth with a "high bandwidth factor", you'll probably get crammed into an overcrowded cheap server with high loads and frequent restarts on a poor network.

Assumming that your definition of "high bandwidth" is around 50GB/mth, then you should really be paying around the $75 to $100/mth for a high qaulity account on a server with low loads on a good network. Remember, if you're pushing 50GB/mth through the server and you're only paying a small amount of money, the owner of the server will have to have a LOT of folks just like you to first break even and then make money. Also, look for things like SCSI drives with RAID config, 1-2 GB RAM, Dual processors, backup solutions, etc..etc..

So, the higher the amount of bandwidth [data transfer really ;)] you want and the lower you are willing to pay, the lesser the quality will be. [in 99% of cases]

You get what you pay for. :)

It is not always true with every company. Of course if you need lots of bandwidth with little amount then be ready for cogent which is not at all bad for the price you get.

For example, take MCHOST which is very good company and kiwi and other member are very helpful. Take a look at there forums and you will find most of there customers are very happy. :)

Just My $0.02

You know, I heard that there were some providers who were "overselling" bandwidth - Shame on them LOL :D

Yes it's time for

I did say "99% of companies" :) Anyways, mchost's pricing is not that cheap really. I was more referring to the 75Gb for $20/mth hosts. Hate to think of the server loads and downtime on that server!! :D So the more transfer you want and the cheaper you pay, the less stable the server will be..etc...etc in 99% of cases. :)

But yes, mchost are a very good provider.

Thought this topic was for recommendations.
Anyway, Genius-Hosting seems good to be used as a reseller.
A lot of people know the owner Thomas, and he seems to be a nice honest guy.
(You wont find much searching for them in the reseller forum, but in the others you should find a bit about them)
