I'm currently using Modernbill as my billing system and I'm processing transactions through Yourpay/LinkPoint. They unfortunately only process transactions using dollars, so I'm unable to take orders in Euros and I'm launching a website in Europe so I'll need this ability. I'd need something that works with Modernbill with credit card transactions to do this, so my options may be limited.

I looked at a new company to process my credit card transactions (protx.com), but they require a bank account with someone in the UK (http://www.protx.com/information/merchants_list.asp (http://www.protx.com/information/merchants_list.asp)). In order to get a bank account in the UK, you have to have a UK business license and have a "presense" in the UK. I have a company based in the US.

I'm wondering if there is an easier way to start processing credit card transactions in Euros?

Thank you for looking at this and any suggestions that you may have.

There are several options for you, like WireCard or Pago.de both can process your transactions in EUR and also setle in this currency.

In regards to the Modernbill plug_in then I am sure on rentacoder.com you easely will find someone that will integrate above for you for a few dollars.

To open a UK Bank account you do not need to have a business license in the UK, but it is a long and hard task to open a UK bank account (if you not live en the UK) also if you do it through your local bank.

I don't know about compatibility with Modernbill, but for multiple currency, you could also check out Optimal Payments, First Atlantic Commerce, and Safecharge.

Thank you for the suggestions. Would getting a bank account in the UK be the easiest method then?
