I'm about to get a server from a company that is not yet authorized to sell licenses for this software so I've got to get it elsewhere and they will install it for me.

I have no clue on where to get the license since CPanel has always been standard across my VPS and shared plans.

Can anyone point out the better-known resellers with good prices?

If your data center does not offer cPanel/WHM licenses then your options are limited. You can go directly with cPanel if you want, but we do not sell licenses on a monthly basis nor do we offer VPS licenses directly.

However, our Distributors do offer monthly licensing and VPS licensing and they are authorized to sell licenses to those not located in their data centers. You can browse a list of our distributors by visiting:

I would suggest purchasing from Touch Support (http://www.touchsupport.com). Last time I checked they were selling external licenses for $43 a month... saw a banner here on WHT not too long ago.

This is a license for a dedicated server and we're looking for the best 1-year rate.

Yeah, TouchSupport offers the lowest (AFAIK) cPanel external licenses.
