Hi Folks,
Which version of the Raq is the most stable for general purpose hosting of sites? I am leaning towards getting a low cost Raq on a reliable network to host some static sites with very, very little cgi or db usage.

Without a doubt, get a RaQ4 and put 512MB in it. Install a comprehensive security software package, follow smart (secure) operating practices, and you'll never touch the thing after you stand it up(except to apply the occasional patch). It won't be the most powerful box on the web, but it will be a reliable workhorse that will do its job extremely well.
Good luck,
Brandon

Most stable version of RaQ4 series is RaQ4r since it uses RAID1 (disk mirroring)

Slight distinction in my mind, when he asks for stable, that's an OS issue. From that perspective, a 4 and 4r are identical.
If he had asked about reliability, then a 4r would have the edge due to redundant disks.
