(* I don't think I can afford to have a lien on my porn collection. *) Send it all back to Forgent. Email a few to each employee. (begin letter) Dear Forgent Employee, Attached is some of my porn collection. I am returning it to your company because I inadvertantly used your patented JPEG format. The rest is still to follow. My printer is slow. Playmate Debby especially requires a lot of ink because of her unorthodox techniques and tools, as you can clearly see in image #4057. Thank You for your patience and understanding, [Slashdot User]" (end letter) :D.... A while back, Hasbro announced it was going to start taking action against copyright infringements of games made by Atari (which Hasbro bought.) This meant that Hasbro was going to begin suing those who made Pac-Man, Breakout/Pong, Asteroids, Frogger, etc. clones. This caused quite a scare in the game developing community of which I am a part of, but I have yet to see any real result of Hasbro's deciscion. Clones of lassic games have not seemed to decrease, and I have not seen any reports of Hasbro actually taking muh action. (Exept maybe against some of the companies doing it commercially.) JPEG images are so widely used, it would be nearly impossible for a company to control the use of them. It's just like MP3s, the publishers are trying, but people are still sharing MP3s. I don't think JPEG controlling will be as big as MP3 controlling at all.. so I really wouldn't worry. |
