Then you will be better able to judge the service and cost. krazykermit 06-24-2007, 10:53 AM 1and1 doesn't do "reseller" hosting. They have an affiliate program, but they don't offer traditional reseller opportunities or hosting plans. You could go with a dedicated server from them and toss on a control panel and billing software.. But that's not where I would go first for servers... cabron 06-24-2007, 01:16 PM As mentioned above you could get a dedicated server, but as you probably are just starting your business i would suggest you go for a regular reseller. vyominis 07-01-2007, 01:08 PM Thank you for all the advice. JohnJ 07-01-2007, 01:13 PM I've had both good times and bad times with 1and1, just as any person would. I would recommend them, as they have done nothing but grown these past few years. Though you should keep looking for a better hosting provider. HostSentry 07-01-2007, 11:30 PM Do not go with 1&1 for reseller hosting. tracphil 07-02-2007, 12:24 PM I wonder how their support is after they did all of the "free for a year or three years hosting" thing. I can't remember the exact time frame the free hosting was for. 1Host 07-02-2007, 02:11 PM I wonder how their support is after they did all of the "free for a year or three years hosting" thing. I can't remember the exact time frame the free hosting was for. Yes, if I remember correctly, they launched with a massive print advertising blitz a few years back (multi-page ads in WIRED etc.) offering 3 years of free hosting for all new signups. I guess that's one way to build a customer base........:D |
