If you were setting up a webhost, what setup would you choose over affordability/quality compromise. Please answer these questions.
Dedicated Server company. e.g Rackspace/Webreseller etc
Control Panel e.g Hsphere/Plesk/Cpanel/Ensim
Customer managment/control panel integrating solution solution e.g Ubersmith/WHNbilling/Bespoke? (how much for bespoke?)
Support system? e.g Phone, Email, Helpdesk (which?)
Not sure what vital things I have missed out. Just getting ideas on how you would run the best web hosting business. Remember that you can't just say XY most expensive, we need to compromise with price over quality to make a seemless running business.

I think you can get answer to your questions just by looking at some web host's websites.

How do you mean? I am interested in seeing what people personal preference would be rather than that they have elected on a business.

My thoughts (so far) on ur ?'s:
1) depends on how much you can spend monthly... a reseller acount is cheapest(most limitations).. ded. server most expensive (less limitations and better so you dont run into moving 100+ users when ur resller account isnt enuff)
2) From what I'm readin Cpanel is best/easiest (for *nix hosting only)
H-S is only one that can do hybrid accounts (both NT/Linux) but hardest to learn/use
3) Prolly Ubersmith or WHN new one (whenever they get it done)
4) Ticket system that works w email and has knoledge base Perbill or similar), along with live chat.

This would be getting a dedicated server. Say for example you were a well-established business in other fields and had the money to push here but obviously didn't want to waste money.

Dedicated server with HSphere would solve your trouble ticket and user management problems.

So, do your selected products integrate well? Surely that would be the best thing for business, So that you can carry out everything via your integrated system.

You talking about myBilling.info as the new one, or is there another new one coming out?
