is there a *free* alternative script that provides a reasonably solid ticket based support system?.

I havent see it on net.And also you can not get the same performance from a free one on this sector.Support system is always using by bigger sites, so the coders want some money.I am looking forward to relpies for seeing a free one.

I agree. I've messed with Cerberus (free version) but I really disliked their install process and felt the administration was a bit bloated for my needs at the time. Good luck!

A while ago somebody was looking for a free support ticket system, and the one I suggested then was: http://www.maianscriptworld.co.uk/scripts_support.html and I still do recommened it.

Its a good realible, and professional script for free of course ;)

I play with Cerberus before. I still prefer light weight helpdesk intergrated in whmcs.

if you own the server there is cpanel pro which is if you have cpanel for the control panel of the server then you should use that one as it comes with cpanel and is currently free :))

cPanel's "desk" is horrible, they need to stick with building their control panel & not these silly little extensions.
Leave those to the pros ;)

If you're on a shoe string budget, nothing is better than the free version of Cerberus. Their e-mail piping feature works flawlessly and the client side of Cerberus is very well designed and asethically pleasing :)
