Not sure if this is the right place to ask this.
Can someone suggest a good Inventory Tracking Software?
If its open source much better.
thanks!

Have you looked at Microsoft Access? They have a built-in inventory tracking database template which you can use and modify to your liking.

QuickBooks is what I would use.... unfortunately it's not open source though ;)

Are you looking for something to track small parts or servers, switches, routers, etc?

Depending on the purpose, I'd say access, or even excel... it really depends on the task and the type of inventory you want to take.
Something else is Quicken Home Inventory Manager... a friend of mine with a small office purchased this... I'd have to admit, it is very smooth. I thought it was a bit much, but he decided to try it and at $29, could not really go wrong... plus, the 60 day risk-free deal...
Also, don't get confused with the "home inventory" portion... it worked well for his business... I'm considering the program, but it would take a lot for me to convert...

Take a look at this http://www.inventory-management.org/ It works well as a small parts system. It could probably be modified to do more but its a great place to start and its web based so it can accessed from just about anywhere.

Take a look at http://www.openoffice.org. It's open source, has it all, and it works!
I've been using it for multiple things for a year and have been as happy with it as MS. It has Calc, Math, Writer, Base (maybe your inventory solution), Impress, and
Draw.

It has Calc, Draw, Impress(presentations), Writer, Math, and Base - your inventory solution maybe.
If you have accounting software anyway, however, maybe that has a solution already, as Quickbooks does.
