Hi, i have a server, which is getting attacked constantly from a perminent ip address. if i type the ip address into IE, a web page is displayed, so i expect it is a server.

I did a tracert on the ip number, on a windows 2000 machine, and found out thier isp. I have contacted the person about the attacks i am getting through a email me link on his site, but have had no replies.

His server is hitting me with the code red virus, every 3 - 4 hours

do u think i should contact his isp about it, because it is getting rather annoying now

yep. Contact his/her iSP. He should not be on the internet if he/she can not properly secure his machine.

Block their IP at router level.

Or ask your provider to do so if you don't have router access :P.

Please tell me this would be the case where you could use an access control list.
