I know there are a ton of control panels for linux based systems, but does anyone know of any free, or relativly inexpensive ones for FreeBSD? I think I read somewhere that darkorb was working on a FreeBSD version of cpanel, but I'd rather do all the admin work by hand how I currently do it then fork out to pay for cpanel ;).
Thanks

Free: there is http://www.webmin.com (very basic)
Paid: http://www.plesk.com (fairly expensive)
and I think http://www.psoft.net (H-sphere) works on FreeBSD, but I may be wrong.

FreeBSD Cpanel is on the verge of being somewhat stable.
If I could guess I would say late August / mid September would be an acceptable target date for it to be released to the public in a semi-bulletproof state.
But that could change of course, due to dozens of potential factors.

I thought CPanel was available to FreeBSD. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are right. Cpanel runs on FreeBSD.
But as isildur and others pointed out, it is still quite unstable.
