Yes you deposit funds to use them for booking domain.

Yes you get remaining balance refunded at any time if you wish to.

If you have decided to resell for ResellerClub, go directly with them if you have the funds.

And I can assure you that with good planning/some effort you will see that you will not need a refund. After all we all want to succeed and don't plan to close shop.
