Least resources comsumption?........ Adam H 06-18-2007, 07:46 AM I have used Lxadmin with Host-ina-box. It sits at about 32mb with no usage. Pretty good IMO. Nice little control panel and the best bit is its FREE. Mxhub 06-18-2007, 08:18 AM lxadmin use less resource, i believe. Quite a decent panel. galaxhost 06-18-2007, 10:03 AM Can you do the same things with both of them? Same features? Mylord 06-19-2007, 11:45 PM I have used the Lxadmin from my vps provider as they offer free. Use about 40mb ram. My vps is 128mb ram and 256 bursted. i am very happy with Lxadmin and because it uses so little ram for full featured Panel with a lot of auto-installers built-in with software. You do not need to add Installtron like in Directadmin which comes as upgrade option and you need to pay extra. linux-tech 06-20-2007, 12:13 AM Nice little control panel and the best bit is its FREE. LXadmin itself is not "free", they charge for it. The host may be giving it to you for free, but that's completely different. Choosing between the two, I'd go for DA every time. I had some issues early on with LXA, and wasn't really that impressed with it when I took a look at it. Their rpm minded way of doing things just threw me off completely, and the layout just didn't impress me that much. hello-world 06-20-2007, 08:23 AM LXadmin itself is not "free", they charge for it. The host may be giving it to you for free, but that's completely different. Lxadmin is free. We give it free to our hyperVM partners, and thus there is no hidden cost that they ultimately pass on to you, like in the case of a paid panel. Lxadmin is genuinely free at this moment, if you get it from one of our partners. Choosing between the two, I'd go for DA every time. I had some issues early on with LXA, and wasn't really that impressed with it when I took a look at it. Their rpm minded way of doing things just threw me off completely, and the layout just didn't impress me that much. We added more than 40 features in the last 20 days, including a per domain php configuration manager, plesk style desktop, single click domain adding, integrated multiple webmail choices, merged the cumbersome client plan, domain plan into a single resource plan, and even redesigned our file layout to match that of DA, Please only compare today's version of lxadmin. We are adding features and redesigning it every single day. Their rpm minded way of doing things just threw me off completely Currently our aim is to deliver a really stable product that people find usefull. 'Impressing' technical minded folks would be difficult with a closed source product, though we will see what we can do about it later. Source-Binary package manipulation is something that has affected few end users if any, since we only support centos-4. hello-world 06-20-2007, 08:26 AM I have used the Lxadmin from my vps provider as they offer free. Lxadmin HIB with lighty should use no more than 18MB when idle. You can further optimize your memory usage by configuring php-cgi rather than php-fcgi for low traffic domains. If you have any problems, please let us know. Thanks. Woooo 06-21-2007, 07:10 PM I completely agree Lxadmin is the future of hosting industry. I hope lxlabs soon release windows products as well :) turbovps 06-23-2007, 02:34 AM We are using lxadmin for over year now. It's Stable. It's free (on the moment) It's clean. It's growing. And there are no hidden cost or strings attached. You get true 24/7 support from it's developers. I believe Ligesh has done excellent job. Most of the people who have even used lxadmin don't know it's potential because ligesh stopped supporting the cluster edition for time being. Damn that's really kool and as good as Hsphere. I have used it for over year and never found anything wrong there. Lxadmin cluster edition is so transparent that you can spread the resources between servers and infact you can move the domains / services with click of the button. They are working on windows edition too. I believe once windows and cluster edition is completed. People will start believing in it's potential. People don't trust things unless they experience themselves. Don't believe me just try them. Ligesh knows what he is doing :) |
