If I were to want a "Grid O/S" created for proprietary uses... would I have any luck finding a developer that understands what I am talking about, and would be interested in the project?

What would a cost estimate on such a project be?

Can anyone comment on MediaTemples variant of grid computing... is theirs proprietary or are they using a commercial product such as 3Tera's AppLogic like LayeredTech is?
