I am starting my webhosting biz soon and was wondering is someone can tell me how difficult and/or time consuming it can be to ** migrate** new cPanel based clients from their server to mine.

Not hard at all, just have to know some linux commands. What you an do is do a full backup into the /public_html/ then from your new server a wget into /home/ folder and in whm do a full restore.

If you have root access on both servers, and both servers are running same cPanel/WHM.. Then it is pretty straight forward..

Customers may need to be assigned a new dedicated IP (if they have one). And SSL certificates may need to be reinstalled.

But overall, it is straight forward and pretty much automated.
