View Full Version : My Tuesday Morning
Fiber 02-20-2001, 05:37 AM I don't know exactly how Tuesday Morning will play out, because I haven't even gone to sleep yet!
It is 3:38, and after I post this I am opening Outlook Express for an e-mail check, then turning off my monitor.
I have to wake up in two hours and 20 minutes.
I hate this stuff.
What's the longest time you've went on the least sleep?

48 hours straight with only two hours of sleep, if that is what you meant... :D
Wish you a motivated day :)
cheers,
Elena 02-20-2001, 06:15 AM about 48 hours..
on average I sleep 4-5 hours a day, doc told me to get more though or else!
lol, yeah right... too much on the mind, too many things to do.
it's 2 am my time.. don't think I'll be hitting the hay til 6. then back up at 9 or 10 to do the daily chores of life.
boy.. whadda life! :D

66 consecutive hours of coding... and that was about a week after the doctor told me that I had mono and would probably need 10 hours of sleep each night.
Of course, once I finished I slept for about 24 hours. ;)
akashik 02-20-2001, 06:33 AM Hmmm...
4 days straight...
I don't recommend it by the way. Seeing things that aren't really there is never a good sign of healthy living. I tend to make sure I look after myself a little better now.
4-8 hours a day (usually 4-6), sometimes spread over two 'naps' of 3-4 hours each - the odd 8 hours stretch every now and then when it all catches up.
Far too many ideas in my head to waste time sleeping *lol*

You people work too hard.
I was going to reply to that "Sunday morning" thread because I hadn't, on Sunday morning, had any sleep at all the night before. It had nothing to do with work though. My Sunday morning was great.
Tuesday morning was good because I got to stay in bed until 1015 when a client called to say that a page we'd been waiting for a certain government agency to put up so we could link to it and put out a press release actually had been placed. Two weeks late; and very bad timing because I was sleeping so soundly!
3 days straight no sleep, was rather strange.....

Why though?
I stayed home today, cause I was sick and I had to do a project and some homework. Well with my luck I still haven't started.
projo 02-20-2001, 10:34 PM Three days, two nights for no sleep at all while writing a hidden-line function for a 3d graphics package, in Fortran, around 1979.

kunal 02-21-2001, 12:09 AM you guys are nuts :D
I havent slept for 5days and 4nights at a stretch. Partly coz of some programing and partly coz my cuzin was getting married. So it was party time all night and all day :)
Ironlung 02-21-2001, 03:48 AM I stayed awake for 8 hours one time in college.
Jonah 02-21-2001, 11:59 AM How can you guys function! I couldn't do that. I need my 8 hours every day, if not law school eventually will kill me! (if not already!) hahaha

Law school --> Enough to kill you alone.
CRego3D 02-21-2001, 03:55 PM In February on 1990 .. I stay up from Thursday morning (the 22nd), until Wednsday (the 28th) .. in 4 consecutive Parties, it was a one in a livetime event that landed 4 of my friends in the hospital with Alcohol poisoning, 1 overdose (survided), 1 pregnant (not mine), and 6 arrested (yeah .. that was me)
I would not trade it for nothing in this world
