Hi,
Due to start business in Jan 2008.
Have got all of the system configs in place but was wondering what would be the best UPS for 4 servers, 2 storage servers, router, fibre links and switches?
One big one or split?
Thanks

We've been using rackmount APC UPS units in our racks as an extra level of protection. We also use the network management module and environment monitoring probes.

By the way, you'll probably get better answers in the Co-Location forum, since the vast majority of WHT hosts are not running their own equipment.

Hi,
for that UPS, what is the plug type on the input? Is it a standard plug top or a 3 phase connector?
Thanks

Tom,
Assuming you're using it in the UK, you'll need to get a 230V version, and also one with the proper input type, depending on what your datacenter will give you. The specific model I linked to was just an example (in our case, the input is 120V L5-30).
