Now that my company is really expanding, I want to offer an 800 number that would just forward to my personal number. What can you all recommend for an affordable 800 number that would just forward...? Maybe a VoIP solution would be better? I really don't know. Thanks for the help.

I ended up going with ringcental.com after trying 2 or 3 others. While Ringcental was not my first choice at least their web interface worked. Freedom Voice was a big joke. I called them repeatedly because their webmail interface was so slow. They kept trying to tell me it my connection yet i could access any other site, including my own and all my servers on the net without a single issue. This went on for 3 weeks without a resolution.

Eventually cancelled my service within 30days. They did refund all my money but their support was lousy. They dont have a single staff member online over the weekend so if you have an issue with your service you have to wait till Monday. That too me is bad business. At least Ringcental has somebody to speak with even on the weekends. Another thing, FV does not roll over minutes so if you have 100min and you dont use it, you loose it. At least with RC my minutes roll. We dont use alot of minutes, probably buying more than we should but its nice to know that if we need it, its there.

My vote is for Vonage. Cheap, reliable... just works the way you'd expect.

If forwarding is all you care about AccessLine has plans for just over $3/mo. If you want a full PBX system with an auto-attendant experience has taught me that you're not going to get an acceptable solution for under $30/mo. RingCentral and the like are complete jokes.

Another vote for ringcentral.com. I've never had any problems with their services. Awesome control panel, easy to use and excellent support. I was able to reach them 24/7 and staff even goes out of their way to give me a call back (nothing major - just a small billing issue). Recently cancelled my service since we decided to put up our own voip server - overall, I was *100% satisfied*!

I've used FreedomVoice without issues through one of their resellers who did have 24/7 support. But this is back when they didn't have the webinterface!!! :c) Long time ago...

Now I'm using kall8.com, they are pretty affordable started off paying only $2/month! Than you can upgrade/addon from there as you need more services. You can forward your phone to unlimited of phone numbers at certain times etc, its all setup through online interface.

I use gotvmail.com - $9.95/mo and I get professional-sounding IVR, hold music, transfers, a few mailboxes, the works.
