Not that I know of.... Actually, there was... However the host has decided not to offer it anymore because..... well, look here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=6005 However, if you think RAQ4i with 128MB, 20GB HD, 100GB transfer (with ASP included) for $99/mo will be better, then look at this deal: http://www.rackshack.net/ Good Luck... cheers, dvaeorn 02-20-2001, 03:02 AM anyone here have an account with rackshack.net? Chicken 02-20-2001, 11:48 AM F.Y.I. They opened less than 20 days ago, it might be a bit difficult to find people on the board with accounts just yet. dektong 02-20-2001, 06:29 PM Originally posted by Chicken F.Y.I. They opened less than 20 days ago... Wow... then they sell their RAQ4 pretty fast.... The first time I went to their homepage, they claim 540 RAQ4is are available... Yesterday, I saw only around 340 of them are available... 200 RAQ4is in 20 days? Wow.... impressive (unless if they are lying about the number, of course :D) cheers, Matrix 02-20-2001, 06:32 PM How can they afford to do those prices on the raq4? dektong 02-20-2001, 06:36 PM Originally posted by Matrix How can they afford to do those prices on the raq4? Puff... Wondering the same thing here... :D I hope they are not lying by giving customer RAQ3 and claiming it is a RAQ4i (some hosts do that.... I remember reading it here in this forum! :( ) cheers, kunal 02-21-2001, 12:28 AM They are playing the game of numbers. The more you sell, the more profit, even if you are going into a loss in short term. Plus, 4webspace.net is a sister company of tera-byte.com, which is a HUGE NOC by themselves. So I dun think they fund problems :) Matrix 02-21-2001, 12:56 AM actually we meant rackshack.net offer on the raq 4 which is cheaper than 4webspace.com kunal 02-21-2001, 03:01 AM Originally posted by Matrix actually we meant rackshack.net offer on the raq 4 which is cheaper than 4webspace.com oops... :emlaugh: ..oh ok... well i guess they are playing the same numbers game too :) SI-Chris 02-21-2001, 06:04 AM RackShack.net just looks too good to be true (the last time I thought that to myself was when I first discovered cobaltrack.com). They're offering a RaQ2 for $69/month; granted, the RaQ2 ain't that great, but it comes with 100 GB transfer! How can anyone realistically offer *anything* with 100 gigs transfer for less than $100/month? They have to be *counting* on people using less--the numbers game, as was mentioned. Everything I've seen on their website looks legit though. I'd be really interested to see a post from an actually customer (if they didn't have setup fees I'd sign up just to test them out). dektong 02-21-2001, 09:14 AM Originally posted by IntelligentHosting.com How can anyone realistically offer *anything* with 100 gigs transfer for less than $100/month? Have you ever asked the same question about 4webspace.com $99/mo deal? :D I think it's just like offering virtual hosting account for <$20 with 10-15 GB of traffic where you know the traffic itself costs more than the hosting price, but... you know that in the average, your clients will be using no more than 1 GB of traffic per month... That I think is how it works out... :D cheers, |
