I just started testing Lxadmin - dont have much to say yet - but thought I'd ask if anyone else would like to share either negative or positive experiences with it - or the complete HIB package.

Overall I'm very pleased with my HIB package. I've got a few lightweight sites up on it now, and it never runs above 50mb of memory. It's pretty quick as well - the dynamic sites aren't taking long to load.

My fear when I first got it was the lack of documentation. That's getting better every day, but it's still not as common as Cpanel based systems. It probably doesn't help that I'm using it to learn about VPS' as I go along, so someone with more experience might feel more comfortable. My host has been very responsive so that's been good as well. The interface is pretty intuitive but there have been things I've gotten stuck on looking for the right menu in the control panel.

That's my sleep-deprived 10,000ft review. If you have specific concerns, please ask. I'm happy with my purchase so far, and considering how light-weight it is I'd expect it to take off going forward.

I think it's pretty good. Has a lot of features, although it could do with some new skins. The application installer is also great because it features so many applications! The most for any CP I think?

Overall I am fairly well impressed with the product.

One thing you should watch out for; everytime I have upgraded the package it has killed localhost taking the sites down. Rebooting the vps from hyperVM is all it takes to restore everything to normal. So don't upgrade unless you have time to wait for it and reboot afterwards.

Hey, thanks.

I guess, everyone here is so used to buggy control panels that you have learned to live with it. :-) What you have reported is a very critical bug--if it happens every time you update, that is--and all you need to do is post in our lxadmin bug report forum, and also send your server login info to lxhelp at lxlabs.com. We will login and check and fix the problem. In fact, we have a 3 day bug fix guarantee. If you see a genuine bug, we are obligated to fix it within 3 days.

Thanks.

Would the "can't get version list" message be related to this problem?

I am a member at the lx forum so I guess I will post.
