Is burst down AGAIN? Damn, every time it's DoS attacks and router problems. As far as I know burst is fixing the router for years now.

Burst has no respect for anyone. They've been down for a long time and the problem STILL continues.

.... Burst has like 3-4 other providers, and nocster uses cogent, not burstnet. You do seem to have a lot of threads concentrating on bashing cogent though, but i wont bother asking why because it really just looks to me like you're trolling for attention.

Shyne,

I doubt burst wants to be down anymore then you want them to be down :D, i doubt it's lack of respect, somethings obviously going wrong for them unfortunatly.

Understandable, just the past like 5 threads i've read had you saying something or other about cogent in them. Seems to me like you two dont get alone, no need to fill everyone else's mailboxes :).

Its not down - it up, but super slow... Whats new...

I'm getting really tired of this - I've never seen so much downtime. For someone who should have three routers and multiple backup lines in place, this is a bit unrealistic. I could run a more reliable service with a 486 box and a 14.4 dial-up modem connection...

porcupine,

I understand they don't want to be down, but I personnaly can not do anything about the situation. I don't want to be down either, but they keep going down too often. The only excuse they can offer is Dos attacks and router problems.

I thought burst had MULTIPLE providers and MULTIPLE routers? I don't see them going in effect.

I'm pretty sure they haven't got the foggiest clue how to operate a router.

lol Stormtrooper, what do you expect when they hire monkeys who say the best way to stop a flood is to reboot the server

Burst is up at the moment. If they go down again, I'll personally wack the router administrator with a bat in the head and put the router parts in his a$$.

I don't use Burst -- I use nocster. They are slightly different I do believe, but are part of the same company. My server suffered no downtime and according to my monitor also suffered no slowdown; pages loaded in typical time. (I'm not denying this slowdown happened -- it's very propable it did as a lot of people seem to have experienced it -- maybe it was only a section of the servers or something?)

As I wasn't near my system at the time I don't know if cogent was turned back on at 2 in the morning, but I know it was off around 3:30 AM and is still off. At least for me.

Oh, and who are you agreeing with? Nobody even mentioned cogent. Do you hear voices?
