I had someone tell me how insecure WU-FTPd is. He didn't tell me exactly what was insecure about it, but from what I gather he didn't think it would be safe to run it, and he installed VS-FTPd. Is it safe to run? How many people use WU-FTPd?

I operate a privacy site so this is very very important to make sure my dedicated server is very secure. Any help would be appreciated.

ProFTPD (http://proftpd.linux.co.uk/) seems to be the go security wise.
