Hi,

I have my site monitered by netwhistle and last night it send me an e-mail to say that there had been an error that was HTTP/1.1 403 FORBIDDEN - ERROR, FILE NOT FOUND.

I waited 2 hours to see if this would be sorted out,

after 2 hours it was still giving the same error so i sent my first e-mail to the support desk, after about three hours of no replys or changes i sent another and so on but using all the different support methods and e-mail addresses that they have listed.

Now it has been almost 24 hours since the site first went down and still no reply or change,

what should I do next?

What site is it? I tried going to the site listed in your profile (http://mbnforum.com/) and it worked fine.

A 403 error means that the server does not have permission to display your web site. Quite possibly, your /home/username/public_html is not properly chmodded or chowned. Did you change something recently?

If not, it sounds like either the ISP is having some trouble with their webserver or they suspended your site. Keep trying to e-mail/call them. If you still can't get through, it might be time to change hosts.

no,

i posted the topic, then got a few e-mails from someone on this board and it looks like he did something.

oh well it's working now and i've just backed up the database, almost 20mb now :eek:

All i gotta say is thanks for the post Jamie... I've now found an atomic kitten site .... does that make me sad?

well now it's all sorted i did get a reply to my many e-mails (they allways seam to reply after it's fixed) but there 24/7 help desk :lol:, did take 17 hours to reply to my e-mail,
