Pardon my noobish query...

I have a script I need to run on a server that requires the following:

- php 4.3+
- mysql 4.1+
- zend optimizer 2.6+
- apache mod_rewrite module
- access to cron jobs and ability to install domains and files to public_html directory
- php has the ability to access other /home directories outside of installation path

Other details:
- I got a VPS for the sole purpose of running the script (not running anything else on the server, no one else other than me using the VPS so no need for admin/reseller/client separation)
- The server needs to be as fast as possible ( going as 'barebone' as possible)
- For time efficiency I'd need a control panel to manage domains and DNS

Yes it was partially copied from the script installation minimum requirement :D

Do you guys have any recommendations for what I should use that's affordable (say $15/month tops) or free that meets the above requirements? I looked at ServerCP Lite and it's looking good so far, but would like some opinions of the pros on WHT :)

ServerCP is good, Webmin is also very good - they should both do the job just fine.

You should be able to get

cPanel - $10/mo ish
DirectAdmin - $5/mo ish
LXAdmin - Free for a small number of domains I think

I am trying cpanel now but it looks to be consuming a fair bit of server resource. Most of what is offered by cpanel and directadmin are not needed.

Slip7 do you have any experience with how much resource ServerCP/Webmin consumes? Ideally I'd prefer the control panel to be as 'barebone' as possible :)
