I'm currently running mySQL ver 3.22.32 - but this seems such an old version so I would like to update it (to 3.23.33). I'm quite new at the whole Unix game, so does anyone know if there is a PKG file available, or somewhere some docs to help me through this?

Shutdown old mysql daemon using

/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql.. stop

and follow this instruction.
