I am considering a reseller business delivered from my own company website using API's from various hosting providers.

My question is if I use the
API to offer web hosting from company X,
and the API for ordering MS Exchange hosting from company Y
and the API for Domain registration and management from Company Z
will my clients experience any problems?

If I understand it correctly there shouldn't be any DNS issues as long as the MX records and the A name and C name records point to the correct Name servers for the hosting providers of X and Y.

Is this correct? Is there anything else here form a technical point I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure I understand. Basically, you just want to reseller services for other company's, right?

And the way you will do this is by using the other company's API? ie: You get a customer who wants hosting, so you connect to your supplier's API and create the account?

If so, I can't see any problems as long as you are careful about what nameservers are pointing to which providers, etc...

Thanks for the quick feedback. The name servers was the key to my question - so thanks for confirming my thoughts which are the same as yours.

I was wanting to make sure that I had understood the potential issues correctly.

Does anyone else have anything to add?

The only thing I can think about is the "self-management" options you will offer to your customers.

How will you deal with customers that purchase options from all of your providers? Having multiple logins can become a turn-off for your clients.
Especially since it would appear to them that they are purchasing all their services from one place.
