I am looking for a list of all the hosting company and datacenter that they could accept to get a 100 MB and a 48 u rack for my company, to put there 30 dedicated servers with the 100 MB.

We are using aprox. 15000 GB/month. We need the best price.

Could someone offer me a quote for that? :)

a) Setup fee
b) monthly rate for the 100 MB Cogent line and for the RACK.
c) The price of the servers:

You should post your quote request in the requests forum. Web hosts aren't allowed to respond to requests / advertise in the general forums.

Might want to make note that cogent's prices are going up in most places next month, so quotes now might be a lot more in a month or two :bawling:.

What if you signed a one year contract? How can they raise prices on you? Is it only for new clients that want to signup?

they dont, if you have a new contract or extend your contract prices wont go up obviously :). If you're renewing your contract though, your prices will be going up =(

and
$65,000 for 1000MB/S
for like ISP lines, but for personal lines it will be
$3000 for 100MB/S
and
$30,000 for 1000MB/S

I see... still pricing is very good comparing to others.... (of course with + and - )

I'm pretty sure thats in 100mbit alotments thats why its cheaper...

cool... $65 or less per Meg - that is pretty good pricing from Yipes and Verio...

I highly recommend sdcolo.com I think it is $4000/mo for a full rack with a 100 Meg connection to Cogent. No set up fees. The only downfall is that they do not have a back up provider ofr Cogent users.

Their colo is not the greatest, but if you want to get inon the cheap, they are good to go. Plus the 24/7 support is tops and if you spend over $5,000/mo they throw in free remote hands which includes terminal service to all servers. Meaning they will get you connected to your box so you can work on it remotelly!

but if verio and and yipes will be cheaper then cogent then who will buy cogent and who much bandwidth will be offered by these providers who offer 300gb to 500 gb for around $130~

I honestly can't believe that Yipes is selling bandwidth for $65/Mb. The lowest I've heard Yipes go for is $165/Mb, and from what I understand, they are now trying to keep all accounts over $200/Mb, even when you're buying 100Mb/sec +

Most of the people who talk prices on WHT don't really have the information first hand, they have friends who gave the information to them second hand, etc.

I can believe yipes would do $65/mbit.... on a gig-e circuit where they already had connectivity, on anything under 500mbps though? i highly doubt it.

No, not even on a Gig-E circuit...at least not in Houston.

Call up Verio and ask for a 100 Mbps Ethernet drop in KC, it will be less than $65.00/Mbps. I am not sure about Yipes as we have never called on them.

At 6500 per 100mbp, Cogent will still be the cheapest around, at least here they will.

might even shut some of these smack talking mouths around here :D, the amount of cogent bashers who've never used cogent annoys me :angry:.
