www.rackshack.net (Advertiser's Max Bid: $36.00)

Max bid doesn't mean they are paying $36.00 per bid...

It means that if the other providers move there bid higher, they will go up to $36.00 to outbid them..

But hey, if Robert Marsh has the money to do it, why not?

I wonder if they are usng a tool to bump their ranking to #1. #2 is paying $35/click. I wonder if RS knows that they are paying $36 per click. :D

It would be nice of someone from rackshack to come in and comment on it...

$36/click is way to high to be paying IMO.

But like someone else said... if Robert Marsh can afford it and wants it that way...

just imagine how many clicks they go through to get a sale.... then multiple by $36. way too much for me.

I think RS would pass it to their clients, and I dont think Vortech uses them.

this disparity between 1,2 and 3 is amazing

after that this category is cheaper than 'webhosting'

$36 bux per click is a very serious amount, makes you wonder what things will cost on overture in a year, when we started with them webhosting was $2 seen fights go as high a $10

but $36 is absurd, just hope its not considered a bargain a year from now...

Asia i meant Vortech would be paying for the bill for the search engine ad, because he started this thread, and most people reading this thread would've clicked on the search engine link..

You get the picture

No matter what it costs in the end, it costs a LOT less then buying a side bar ad just from Yahoo. A small fraction.

$36 bucks is outrageous but it does fluctuate. We have paid as little as $10.

We mainly buy this so that we get exposure at Yahoo and AOL without having to buy directly from them.

Words from the head honcho.. :stickout

Hmm.. with google we had set a $25 CPC. This means we were right up the top of the list. Now yes this meant paying a lot more for a click but it didnt mean we were paying $25 per click! That is the maximum. According to google it is all done according to time of the day and how busy they are.

Those are the sponsor matches that show up... Yahoo doesn't like you. RackShack comes up #2 in the Sponsored Matches, which means they paid to be there. The Sponsores Matches you are seeing might be country specific, hence you are seeing something different...

Right now (on Overture) Rackshack's down to $11/click for max bid, Verio is in #1 position with $35/click... lmao. This is just like a little race between the bidders... that's what this thread feels like anyway.

Surely, if Rackshack started their affiliate program again and just paid on a per sale basis, their conversion would be much better as no matter how many clicks they get, they only pay if someone buys a server, whereas with Overture, they are paying fo every click. And with the large number of customers that they have, they would get a LOT of clicks, quite a lot being targetted to the market. Let's just click on the Overture link to go to the Rackshack.net website to see if their referral program is still not available (hehe)... I was right, it's still suspended :D.
