With CPanel beta testing the "addon domains", although they do not work for me at all yet, I think CPanel hosts will have a pleasant tool to work with.
Now a host can offer single-domain personal hosting, multi-domain personal hosting (without setting up multiple accounts for the user, and not giving them the control of reseller hosting), and reseller hosting.
What is everyone elses thoughts?

Agree, I think it is a good move. As you we haven't got it fully working yet but looks like a very positive move forward

Addon domains really aren't anything new -- you've always been able to park domains on top of subdomains. Now there's just a nice user interface for letting users do it themselves.

I think that's the point ;)

h-sphere already has this feature and alot of my customers like it. The fact that they can host multiple domains under the same control panel login and pass just makes them happy.
i think cpanel is making a good move by adding it.

When you already have alot of customers and therefore alot of support requests, it is nice *not* to have to do this manually for users.

Oh, I agree. It's going to be a big timesaver (I'm waiting till it's out of beta stages to implement it on our servers)... I'm just saying that addon domains aren't new to CPanel.
