I got some people asking me for a free host with no banners/popups. Any suggestions? Also would be nice to have stuff like a cgi-bin and name servers ect. I found a few but I think I could find some better ones.

RRolfe 07-14-2002, 05:41 PM then again there is always the requests section of this forum... you could post what you want and maybe someone will give it to you... maybe. cwcandromeda 07-24-2002, 04:21 AM http://www.freewebs.com They are free with no banners/ popups and 100 + megs of space but they aren't as fast as the other free hosts with popups/banners. Maybe that was just a day of too much traffic ;) CrazyPixie 07-24-2002, 07:54 AM doteasy.com citrus 07-24-2002, 07:59 AM http://www.portland.co.uk/freewebhosting.esp digiguy 07-24-2002, 10:41 AM I'm worry about my info will be given away as I sign up. :spam: "THINK" before you go there! citrus 07-24-2002, 10:45 AM Originally posted by digiguy I'm worry about my info will be given away as I sign up. :spam: "THINK" before you go there! Yeah I hate that also, portland sells your email address, that's the only downside to their free hosting... (Other than their crowded servers) :) SophiaL 07-24-2002, 11:33 AM Free is good, but then you don't know when your account will be shut down. |
