The company I've been with has been around for about 15 years or so. We currently have one web server and one email server. Windows server 2000, and iMail 8.xx for email. Our servers are now around 6-7 years old. The DC we're with has been through a few different owners and customer service has gone downhill. So its time to simplify.
I've been looking at two reseller plans
==Cartika==
20,000MB Disc
60 IPs
200GB Bandwidth
accounts 125
$175.00
They have a very good rep on this board from what I've seen
==EIRCA==
30,000MB Disc
8 IPs
300GB Bandwidth
accounts 80
$149.00
I was a DIY customer and Simons team was excellent.
I have a personal account at Jodo and am very pleased.
Also was checking out Relio.
My main concern is long term and reliability, I guess that goes without saying but our company relies heavily on our sites and email.
Our personal servers we're very reliable, but it will be nice to leave server administration to the professionals for a change.
Does anyone have any opinions on these two.
I found a lot here about Cartika but not that much about EIRCA.
I like the disc space and price EIRCA offers.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Mapnapkin,
One thing to keep in mind is that our pricing is in CAD$.
I found a lot here about Cartika but not that much about EIRCA.
Yes, we have been around these parts for awhile - I think you will find less on Eirca as Simon sold DIY then recently launched the hsphere brand with Eirca.
We tend to offer less diskspace and bandwidth then most as we purposely have very small and very fast drives (great for speedy recoveries) and we tend to be very application centric (where CPU and RAM are kings over transfer allowances)
Anyway, best of luck with your search....
Hi mapnapkin,
Most of our reviews would be about our present and past subsidiary companies, such as the ex subsidiary, DIY. I wouldn't expect many reviews on here outside of our reseller offering, as the shared (ThisIsHosting) and dedicated (Sanfire) brands tend to be a bit away from the norm for the WHT crowd. The EIRCA team has always been behind all our brands, the same team (with a few additions) as long before we even introduced DIY. The only difference these days is that we've decided to put EIRCA front and center of all operations. :)
Whichever company you choose, I think you'll have a good home for your sites.
Simon

Cartika inspires more confidence - I have been watching them for a long time and I always enjoy the posts made here by their staff, they really know what they are talking about.
I am 99% sure this will be my next provider as soon as I fill my current reseller account. The only reason I am not yet a customer is because of the control panel. I have spent many hours writing/customising scipts to automate backups of shared accts under my whm/cpanel reseller acct - doing something this for another control panel would need some time..
Another provider you should also consider is EuroVPS - they provide Plesk clustered reseller hosting with enterprise hardware.

Hi TonyFF and thank you for the kind words :)

Just to let you know...
I do not believe you would need to do this. We have integrated our backup array with our control panel. You can access our backup system and restore any file/DB/eMail directly from your control panel from any of the available multiple restore points. Additionally, we have scripts available in our downloads section which allow you to automate and schedule the backups of your web/db content directly to your PC.
Thanks again for the kind words ...

We've been using EIRCA for the last two years, and I can only talk positive about them.
They've been around for a long time, and have introduced some of the industry's finest and most innovative products and solutions.
I don't have a bad word to say. The price is right. The server performance is perfect. Support response times and quality is nothing short of fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback, Jamie. It's always nice to see long-term clients give us some feedback, positive or negative, especially when we've had such a great relationship between my company and yours.
