Paul L. 02-18-2001, 09:32 PM I myself am still in shock over this but now Dale is in a much better place where he can race everyday. My Prayers goes out to all his family and fans. He will be missed greatly and the racing world will never be the same. RotoHost 02-19-2001, 06:51 AM As a lifelong racing fan, Nascar in particular, I'm at a loss for words... Godspeed, Dale akashik 02-19-2001, 10:06 AM I'll tell you an odd thing.... I remember when Greg Moore (the driver) was killed a year or two ago. It's very strange hearing your name on the news all week say you're dead. :) Greg Moore Chicken 02-19-2001, 10:53 AM Did you keep the newspaper clippings? It isn't often your name is printed up as being dead on the front page? I was also pretty surprised at this news (Dale). The crash didn't look that bad on t.v. but I guess it was a harder hit than it seemed to be. akashik 02-19-2001, 11:04 AM Chicken, So sadly I didn't. Kicking myself now though - would have been something to frame... A good reminder to enjoy life while I have it *lol* Greg Moore X-treme 02-19-2001, 07:28 PM I am also still in shock about this. I wasnt a earnhardt fan but I respected his talent to drive. This is going to be a terrible loss to Nascar. My thoughts and prayers are with his family! May god give them the strength they need to overcome this tragedy. X-treme Shawn (GEcom) 02-19-2001, 08:00 PM Dale Earnhardt was my idol, a hero if you will. I am still in shock, I cannot believe he is gone :( SI-Chris 02-23-2001, 11:34 PM I found this well-written and very-interesting article that I'm sure racing fans (and of course Earnhardt fans) would be interested in reading: http://ojr.usc.edu/content/story.cfm?request=540 |
