Hi all,
What do you consider the best source, aside from adsense for making some income on suspended and 404 pages?
We just took over a company with a flexible TOS and tons of deadbeats.
Thanks
I would put some sort of stats script on the 404 pages to see how many deadbeats there actualy are and then even sell banner space on this site.
I prefer selling add space, it is more definate that your going to get the money than something such as adsense.
Also something like adsense called bidvertiser is very effective as it lets people bid for the banner space, always nice to see bidding wars :)

I'd even advertise your own services.

That is what I would suggest. If you use adsense you may end up with competitors ads on your 404 pages.

I'd say it depends on what those sites' visitors are looking for. If it's not hosting, then advertising your own services might not bring in as much revenue as Adsense ads geared toward the content of each site. Unless the sites are about hosting (i.e. resellers), then your competitors' ads aren't likely to run.

Ask HostGator they tried it, I would be turned off if I was a customer however.

That's the way to go.
if someone is going on a fishing site and then get a 404 with a advert for a webhost what is the point???? I still say adsense

I think Sedo.com offer such a service.
I've noticed some companies offering banner ad space on 404 pages - this could be the way forward, aslong as it is subject related.
